In keeping with my usual routine of announcing features, I figured I'd share this one. I had no idea it was there until my sister mentioned it in an email!

Surprise! An Awesome Feature

I just found out yesterday that a post I wrote was featured on Rage Against the Minivan a couple days ago! In case you've never encountered the blog, Kristen is the author and she writes about adoption, parenting, style, and lots of other inspiring stuff. She runs an ongoing series where readers write posts about adoption based on the statement "what I want you to know". I submitted a piece a long time ago, I barely remembered that I wrote it and it just showed up a couple days ago. All of the comments were absolutely lovely and I was really flattered by Kristen's tweet:

Hey everyone, I just thought I'd give you a heads up that I got a new feature! I haven't been keeping up with link parties for quite a while now, but I still always link up with Ashley @ Eisy Morgan. And last week my Oreo Cupcakes were one of the top visited links so I was featured today. :) Very exciting. Anyways, head over and check her blog out if you never have before, it's lovely!

A New Feature

Good Morning!

I've decided to start a new routine here this Sunday, which will be called Book-Smart Sunday. The reasons for deciding to do this feature are that, first and foremost, I love books; and second, there are so many books out there, sometimes it is nice to be referred to good ones. I will probably be featuring a lot of children's books because that is what we buy and read the most in my home. And let's face it, children's books are just so much fun. I'll definitely be featuring other books, many of which may still be related to children. I would love some feedback as I get this feature going, so please leave a comment if you have something to say or a similar book to recommend. I always love to hear about new books.

Anyways, tune in tomorrow for the first edition!

Something Exciting!

Good morning!

I found something really cool today that I just have to share with you. Remember a while back when I told you all about the amazing children's authorstrator, Jeremy Tankard? Well, it's about that. 

I'll take a step back first. Do you know what Google Analytics is? Basically it's a free service offered by google that tracks the traffic to your site. I found it through Etsy and have used it for my shops and this blog because, well, I'm a big nerd! ;)

So anyways, I went on there today and I was checking out where my traffic was coming from and it said jeremytankard.com. I thought this was strange because I may have referred traffic to his site, but not the other way around. I checked out his site and found that on July 2 he made a little entry about me on his blog and referred people to my entry about him! Isn't that so cool? I think it's amazing that an author I love has been to MY blog! :) 

The internet never ceases to amaze me! 

So remember, kids, you never know who is looking at what you have online. ;)
