Panorama

Monday, September 2, 2013

I got my iPhone 5 at the beginning of this year and one of the big reasons I got it was for the camera. I knew about the panorama feature, but I didn't think it would be a feature I would really use - I was mostly interested in having a good camera on my phone, and having a phone that would work well with all the other apple products in our home. But I've actually ended up loving the panorama feature. The photos are so cool and get a little bit closer to capturing what just cannot fully be captured in a photo.

(note: given their dimensions, they probably look best if you click on them!)

 {Big Beach, Maui}

{Road to Hana, Maui}

{Keanae, Maui}

{Lahaina, Maui}
The big bunch of trees in the centre of this photo is actually a single banyan tree! I love how the panorama really highlights how big it is.

 {Lethbridge, Alberta}
This was in June when there was massive flooding in southern Alberta. Luckily nobody lives down there by that swollen river!

This was taken the day after the photo above. The river was huge!

{Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta}

 {Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta}
The colour of the lake hasn't been enhanced at all, it was that stunning colour in real life!

{Lake Louise, Banff National Park, Alberta}

{Sulphur Mountain, Banff National Park, Alberta}

{Sanson's Peak, Banff National Park, Alberta}

{Paul McCartney Live (!) Regina, Saskatchewan}

It also helps that we've visited some pretty spectacular places this year, I suppose. ;)

There is one funny thing I discovered about the panorama feature though: moving subjects make for some crazy pictures. Check out Mason's arm in the photo below!
