Good Morning!

Stir fry has been our go-to meal when we are feeling lazy for a long time. We usually have either chicken or shrimp in the freezer, some fresh or frozen veggies and noodles or rice to go with it. The thing we often don't have is a bottle of store bought stir fry sauce in the fridge. This is a yummy and easy sauce that you can make with ingredients you probably have on hand.

Easy Stir Fry Sauce

Ingredients:

1/2 cup water
1/4 cup soya sauce
1 Tbsp corn starch
1 Tbsp brown sugar
3/4 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:

Combine all ingredients and then add to your stir fry when it is partially done cooking. If you used frozen vegetables, make sure you drain excess water from the pan before adding the sauce. Continue cooking and stirring and the sauce will thicken.

Not familiar with stir frying? I've never actually read directions, I just kind of learned by doing it. The main rule of thumb is that you want to cook vegetables, but for a relatively short amount of time so they retain much of their texture. Meat should be cooked thoroughly first, then added to the vegetables. We often buy pre-cooked frozen shrimp because it makes this a quick meal.
