Thrift: Story Books

Thursday, October 4, 2012

A few weeks ago Mason's parents sent a ton of old books home with us. They are old, some more used than others, and they have that old book smell.

This is our favourite so far:

It has pages and pages and pages of silly nonsense.

I had to laugh when I saw the first rhyme about the letter "I". I borrowed a book from the library last week called "A was once an apple pie" to read to my kindergarten kids. It has rhymes in basically that exact format for every letter of the alphabet. They laughed their heads off when I read it. I thought it was a bit funny, but apparently to five-year-olds, it's hilarious!

I love children's books! I've been wanting to read Where the Sidewalk Ends again.
