Toddler Time

Over the last couple weeks I had a ton of fun with Gavin. We did the usual walks and visits to the park, but we added some other new experiences in too. While babies are sweet and cuddly and cute, I just love watching my little guy grow. Words can't explain how much fun he is!

The three of us went for a hike in the valley near the university. I don't actually have pictures of the hike because we were hiking, but I have a couple from our rests. One was at a big buffalo sculpture. Gavin insisted that he and daddy ride the buffalo.

We also hung out in the "breezeway" under university hall (the large space under this building).

We took Gavin to his first movie at a theatre. He got in for free and behaved really well, but wasn't really interested in wearing his 3D glasses for most of the movie. {we saw Kung Fu Panda 2}

I discovered a new, amazing activity to keep him busy while I am cooking supper: dismantling a head of garlic. He has been fascinated by the garlic for a while, always taking it out of the cupboard and asking if he can eat it. So I finally just let him check it out [but not eat it]. He was 100% focused the entire time.

He had his first play at the spray park. We finally had some hot, sunny weather so I took him there to run around and cool down. He was actually freezing by the end, but he would have played there all afternoon if I let him!

Looks like so much fun! Gavin is adorable with his little backpack :) He's lucky to have parents who will get out there with him and give him such great experiences.

And I hate taking all the cloves of garlic apart, so I think I could use a helper like him around!

He looks like a little tourist in the photos at the university. So cute! I am glad you give him lots of outdoor experiences so he develops a love of the outdoors. As he grows older, maybe he will spend more time outside than in front of a TV or computer. Outdoors is much healthier!! You are such great parents!
