Good Morning!

I'm SO happy to announce that I'm done the worst paper of my semester, and I'm finished classes as well. Yay! I still have a paper and two exams left, but the worst is done. So hopefully I can get back to some fun creative stuff very soon. The only bummer about school being over is that I have to get a job. I don't have a problem with working, but I'm hoping I can find a job this summer. I've already done a bit of applying for stuff and nothing so far, but it's just the beginning. I'll hold off on feeling discouraged until July or so!

Anyways, I did find a bit of time to do a couple creative sort of things in the past couple weeks. Let's be honest, I had to for the sake of my sanity, writing paper upon paper was ridiculous! One creative activity was cooking. I took the time to try some new stuff because it's a lot more enjoyable to eat good meals and it was a bit of a stress reliever. I also made a very simply fabric basket to hold the K-cups for our new coffee machine (we bought a cool Keurig coffee machine from walmart when it was on sale and finally retired the machine that had cost $20 four years ago).

And I also made some t-shirt yarn out of old t-shirts that I had in my fabric stash. I have a HUGE stash of fabric (literally no room to buy any new stuff) so I've decided that I have to use some up before I buy any more. If you have never made t-shirt yarn before, it's really easy. Just check out this tutorial at Craft Passion. I don't have a specific project in mind for this stuff yet, but I figure it's a little closer to being used now that it is in yarn form. :)

I love that IKEA fabric that you used for the basket! We wanted to buy that same fabric to make some drapes for our house, but they didn't have enough in stock when we were there. Sigh... oh well, we found an alternative.

Thanks! I love it too, I just got some small remnants for really cheap when we were there last. Your drapes turned out great in the fabric you ended up with. :)
