Book-Smart Sunday

Good Morning!

Today for book smart Sunday I chose a fun book that is both for kids and adults. I found it on sale at Chapters about a month ago and it looked like it was worth having around. It's easy for kids to get bored or adults to think that they have run out of ideas for new games or activities to do with their kids. And that makes it easy for TV to find its way into our lives more and more. I won't deny that we let Gavin watch some TV, but we try to keep it to minimal amounts. There is just no need for a lot of it. The book today is 501 TV-Free Activities For Kids.

It's pretty self-explanatory. The book is like a big binder with different sections to categorize all those activities. Some are simple activities, requiring no supplies at all, and others ask for a little more. They are also marked with suggested ages for children, which is helpful. Also, the fact that the book was only $12 was awesome. It was cheap and will be great to have around for years to come!

This looks like a really great resource! I love that it includes a huge variety of activities, because there are so many activity books that are just art or just science, etc. It's also great that it is appropriate for a variety of ages, so your child won't outgrow it. I might have to check it out :)
