Book-Smart Sunday

Good Morning!

I'm really excited to start this new feature, and I have so many books that I want to talk about! I really think we will have some fun with this one. I didn't know which book should be my very first Book-Smart Sunday book, but after a lot of back and forth I decided to go with a children's book.

This one is called The Tickle Tree.

Just before Christmas I saw this book on sale at Toys R Us and I opened it up and fell in love with the art, the typography, and the silly rhyming. It is just all around wonderful. We love reading it at bedtime because it's all about dreams, but it would be great anytime. The art is just fantastic, too.

It is recommended for ages 3+, but my 2 year old loves it. We just don't let him handle it himself very often because he has a habit of tearing pages that aren't super-sturdy cardboard!

PS - I changed up the header again... I'm sick of winter and figured my blog should reflect that... :)

I love the idea of Book-Smart Sunday - and I'm loving this book, too! Can't wait till Ben is old enough to appreciate it.

Yay! Haha, I knew you would like this, although the books won't necessarily be new to you, like this one, or the one I'm planning on featuring next week that you showed me a week or so ago! Oh well!
