The Finished Bed (and another tutorial)

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Good Morning!

I finally finished Gavin's bedding! Of course it was the easiest detail left until last: the pillowcase. I used one of our IKEA pillowcases as reference because I like how it has a little pocket inside to keep the pillow in place. It was a really quick, easy project and it completes his little bed. Now we just have to get him to start sleeping in it rather than on the floor. Tomorrow I'll be on the road to visit home so I have a tutorial prepared so you can make some of these awesome pillowcases too.

[This is what the open end of the pillowcase looks like with the little pocket. Great, hey?]

With this weeks' tutorials, plus the one I used for the fitted sheet (on MADE), you'll just about to make a full set of bedding for the little people in your life! I plan on completing the collection with an easy quilt tutorial soon, but that one will take a little more work and therefore, a little more time. Until then, here's the completed bed. :)
