Freezer Paper!

Saturday, September 18, 2010

Good Morning!

Guess what? I finally hopped on the freezer paper stencilling wagon! BUT I can't share my project quite yet. I know, not fair, right? I really wanted to tell you all even though the actual project has to be kept offline for a little while. It's a gift. So, since I can't share it yet, I'll share a bunch of freezer paper stencilling stuff to tide you over. :)

Ok, if you need a tutorial on how to do this, go this tutorial on I Am Momma Hear Me Roar.

And here's some cool examples I turned up from craftster! [click on the photo to go to the post]

I just love the lion on this one, very cool!

Being a recovering LOST addict, I obviously love this one.

This is just really cute, and apparently covering a stain too. Very creative.

My only complaint about freezer paper stencilling is that the cutting out part can be really tedious! If I had a Silhouette or something to cut out the stencils perfectly for me, I would probably become totally addicted to the whole process. But my and my X-acto knife don't get along well enough for me to be a total addict now! Oh well. :)

Thats so cool! Can't wait to see your finished product!
I don't think I could try this one though x-acto knives and me don't mix at all! I almost lost my thumb to one when I was younger, so I'm scared of them! haha

Woo hoo! I've done stenciling once. I made a dinosaur themed birthday present for a nephew, and I stenciled a dino on a shirt. He loved it! It was also way easier than I thought. I'm in love with my x-acto knife that has a swivel tip :)

A swivel tip?! I never knew...

PS- nice to meet you, sminto!
