A New Purse for Me!

I've been meaning to make myself a new purse for.... months...
I know many girls out there who have a bunch of purses and they switch them up as they please.
That is not me.
I use one purse until it needs to go in the garbage.... and then I keep using it for a couple more months.
I made the purse I was using last September.
I just looked at the post about it again and that purse looked very nice!
It does not look like that anymore!

So this weekend I took the time to make myself a new purse.

I designed it myself. I also dyed the red and white striped fabric with dye leftover from this purse.
I took my time sewing the inside so I actually had pockets in there because I tend to scrimp on those things when I sew for myself.

I also really like the way I made the straps. They are attached below the section with the vertical stripes.

I've gotten so used to my last purse that was always open, that I didn't bother putting a closure on this one. I don't really know how to incorporate top zippers into bags like this and magnetic closures just aren't really worth the work for me. I just love how bright the bag is!
