Knitting!

Guess what? I knit a scarf! :)

It's a small, very simple scarf for my little guy, but I'm learning how to knit. Pretty exciting stuff! I can't wait to lounge on my new couch and knit. It's totally relaxing too. I chose black yarn for the first one because I figured it would hide the flaws a little more. It's not perfect, but it was a nice first project. Next step: Learning how to use more than one colour at a time.

On another note, the little guy had a bit of a rough night last night. He woke up a couple times and seemed to be scared of something, probably dreams. He doesn't have a night light yet and I think it's time. I'm thinking either a twilight turtle or one of pabobo's cute options. Anyone have any experience with any of them? I want something that he can control so that if he is scared, he can turn some light on. Any info would be helpful!

I googled it and found a bunch of great videos on a site called video jug. I would totally recommend them. (http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-knit-a-scarf) I didn't actually follow the tutorial on how to knit a scarf, I just watched the one on casting on, off and the knit stitch, then knit a bunch of rows. It's a nice relaxing thing to do!
