Christmas Creations: Christmas Apron

Friday, December 31, 2010

Good Morning!

On the last day of 2010, my 200th post! :)

Remember a couple weeks ago when I had a picture of Mason cutting out a pattern? Well this is what it was for. He wanted me to make his Mom a Christmas apron as a gift, but he wanted to have a hand in the making. So he did!

Probably more importantly, he picked the fabrics. It was a team effort, but I left it all up to him in the end and it turned out great! I think he also gained a little more understanding for the amount of time I sometimes take in the fabric store. :) Anyways here's the apron!

Very cool for a Christmas apron, hey? You'd never think that the lady wearing it was a grandma! :)

PS- Happy New Year to everyone, have a fun night, however you celebrate!

Congrats on the 200th post! :)

So did Mason sew it? I understand that he chose the fabrics and he cut the pattern, but... I'm curious to know if he sews also :)

The apron looks great! A subtle festive. It's not like Christmas exploded on it :D I also really like how you took the picture. Did you use a bed sheet?

Thanks, both of you!

And Sarah, Mason didn't do any of the sewing. When we were cutting it out he asked to sew one line just to say he had, but I ended up just locking myself in my sewing room one day and doing it all myself!

And yes, the picture is taken on my duvet. We don't have much natural light in our apartment except for by the patio door. So the best place to take photos is on the floor by the patio door, but the carpet is hideous, so I put this down! It'll have to do until I have a better place to take photos! :)
