Chocolate Chocolate Biscotti for Food Friday

Good Morning!

Have I ever told you that I LOVE chocolate? I can't help it, it's just something that my whole family suffers from. ;) Anyways, I just don't think baking is worthwhile if it doesn't involve at least some chocolate most of the time. This is very chocolatey, and very yummy. It goes perfectly with a hot café latte!

Chocolate Chocolate Biscotti

Ingredients:

1/4 cup margarine, softened
1/3 cup sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1 cup flour
2 squares white chocolate
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in cocoa and baking powder. Add egg and beat well. Stir in flour. Melt the white chocolate and chocolate chips and mix it in with the other ingredients. Roll the dough into a log about 9 inches long and place it on a greased cookie sheet. Flatten it a little. Bake for 20 minutes (use a toothpick inserted in the centre to see if it's done). Let the log cool completely, I stuck it in the freezer to speed up the process.

Once it's cool, preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Slice it diagonally into strips about 1/2 inch wide [some of mine broke a bit, so be careful]. Place pieces on an ungreased cookie sheet [cut side down] and bake for 8 minutes, flip them and bake for another 8 minutes. Cool completely before packing them up.

Enjoy! Dip them in your coffee, it's the best. :)

I'd *love* to try this! When you say 2 squares of chocolate, about how many oz is that? Or what type/brand did you use?

I used Bakers brand white chocolate squares, I think they are 1 oz each.
